Privacy Policy
Your information, handled with care.
Effective date: Pending legal approval and publication of the finalized policy.
This policy explains what information Sevyn Streams collects when you visit our website, take our quiz, create an account, purchase a course, or work with us, and how we use and protect that information.
1. Who we are
Sevyn Streams is operated by Sevyn Streams, LLC, a limited liability company registered in Florida, United States. We provide business consulting, done-for-you course implementation, and online educational courses. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Sevyn Streams.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following kinds of information:
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Our account service protects passwords using secure hashing; we do not receive your readable password.
- Purchase information. When you buy a course or service, we receive your name, email address, the item purchased, the amount paid, and the payment status.
- Course activity. We record which courses you are enrolled in, the lessons you complete. Protected files are available according to your course access.
- Quiz responses. If you take the Find Your First Stream quiz, we may collect your answers and any contact details you choose to provide. Quiz lead capture and follow-up through Kit.com are part of our intended marketing setup. Where a signup form is offered, it will explain what you are subscribing to and request any required consent.
- Messages and agreements. When you contact us or accept a service agreement, we keep a record of the communication or acceptance, including the date, time, and browser information.
- Technical information. Our hosting and security tools may automatically record your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited.
3. Payment processing through Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you check out, you enter your card details directly with Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code. Stripe handles your payment information under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
4. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and give you access to courses you have purchased.
- To process payments, issue receipts, and handle refunds or disputes.
- To deliver consulting and implementation services you have booked.
- To send account emails such as confirmations, password setup, and course updates.
- To send marketing emails when you have agreed to receive them.
- To respond to your questions and improve our website, courses, and services.
- To prevent fraud, keep our systems secure, and meet legal obligations.
5. Email communication
We send two kinds of email. Account emails are necessary to operate your account and purchases, so you will receive them while you have an account with us. Marketing emails share resources, offers, and news, and we send them only when you have agreed to receive them.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out at any time by writing to melissa@sevynstreams.com.
6. Service providers
We disclose information to providers as needed to deliver the services you use. Lovable supports our website, customer accounts, student portal, and transactional emails. Stripe processes payments. We have selected Kit.com for email marketing, subscriber management, quiz lead capture, and automated nurturing, and Calendly for consulting appointment scheduling. Selecting these tools does not mean every integration is already active. Information is sent to a provider when the corresponding service is enabled and used.
Providers process information under their applicable terms, privacy policies, and our arrangements with them. We do not sell personal information for money. Planned advertising tools may involve disclosures classified as a sale or sharing under some privacy laws; those tools are not active and require a separate privacy and consent review before use. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public.
7. Cookies, analytics, and advertising tracking
We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in and to make the website work properly. These essential technologies support account access and security. You can control cookies and browser storage through your browser settings, but some features may not work without them.
Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel are planned tools and are not currently active. If enabled later, they may collect device identifiers, browsing activity, IP addresses, and interactions to measure website use, advertising effectiveness, or advertising audiences.
Before enabling nonessential analytics or advertising tracking, we will update these disclosures and implement any required consent and opt-out mechanisms. Where required, tracking will not begin without consent. Applicable opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, must also be addressed before advertising tracking is activated. [COUNSEL REVIEW: CONFIRM COOKIE CONSENT, SALE OR SHARING DISCLOSURES, AND SIGNAL HANDLING FOR THE FINAL TRACKING CONFIGURATION AND APPLICABLE JURISDICTIONS.]
8. How long we keep information
We retain purchase, payment, and signed agreement records for 7 years, subject to applicable legal obligations, including obligations that require longer retention. This period does not apply to all personal information.
Account and course-progress information is retained as needed to maintain your account and course access. Subscriber information is retained as needed to manage your subscription; after you unsubscribe, we may keep a limited suppression record to honor your preference. Quiz responses, appointment details, and correspondence are retained only as needed to provide services and follow-up, resolve questions, and meet applicable legal obligations. Technical and security records are retained according to operational and security needs.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to legal holds and backup lifecycles. You may request deletion at any time; some records must be retained for legal compliance. [COUNSEL REVIEW: CONFIRM CATEGORY-SPECIFIC RETENTION AND DELETION PRACTICES.]
9. Your choices and rights
You may ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you may update your name and password from your account settings. Depending on your location and the laws that apply to our business, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, withdraw consent, or opt out of targeted advertising and certain sales or sharing of personal information. Some laws also provide appeal rights or allow an authorized agent to submit a request.
To make a request, email melissa@sevynstreams.com. We may verify your identity before acting and will respond within the period required by applicable law. Legal exceptions may limit a request; we will explain applicable limitations. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights protected by law. You can unsubscribe from marketing without giving up purchased course access. [COUNSEL REVIEW: CONFIRM APPLICABLE STATE AND OTHER PRIVACY LAWS, REQUEST PROCEDURES, AND APPEAL REQUIREMENTS.]
10. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections, restricted access to course files, and permissions that limit each student to their own records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
11. Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and we will notify account holders of significant changes by email.
13. Contact us
If you have questions about this policy or your information, email melissa@sevynstreams.com or write to Sevyn Streams, LLC, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
[COUNSEL REVIEW: NO PHYSICAL MAILING ADDRESS IS PUBLISHED. CONFIRM WHETHER APPLICABLE PRIVACY LAWS REQUIRE ONE FOR SUBMITTING INFORMATION REQUESTS, AND SUPPLY AN APPROVED ADDRESS BEFORE PUBLICATION.]
